Quotation Terms and Conditions
1. Prepare your
quotation on this Quotation form. This form must be
signed and dated. Return the original to Purchasing
Services and retain a copy for your records.
2. Any quotations sent by mail or
express mail, must clearly identify the Quotation
Number and the Quote Due Date
on the outside of the envelope.
3. Any substitutions or exceptions
must be clearly identified. Submit descriptive literature
and specifications on all substitutes.
4. Any quotation submitted and/or
order resulting from the University's acceptance of
your quotation is subject to the University's instructions,
and terms and conditions on the website http://www.purchasing.psu.edu.
Contact Purchasing Services at (814-865-7561 extension
#50) if you cannot access the website or wish to have
a printed copy.
5. The University will take reasonable
caution to protect the confidentiality of quotations
received via facsimile transmission (fax), but will
not be held liable for any disclosure which may result
from faxing a quote. The University reserves the right
to reject fax quotations due to illegibility and will
not be responsible for; misreading a document when transmission
quality is poor, late quotations due to fax transmission
delays, or fax quotations not received.
6. The University reserves the right to:
- make all decisions regarding this quotation including,
without limitation, the right to decide whether a
quotation does or does not substantially comply with
the requirements set forth;
- accept or reject any or all quotations or any parts
thereof;
- waive any informalities.
7. Note: The University shall not
be responsible for any cost incurred by the Supplier
in the preparation of this quotation. It must be specifically
understood that this Request for Quotation does not
create any obligation on the part of the University
to enter into any contract or purchase order. Any supplier
who expends time or money prior to award does so at
the supplier's own risk and expense.
8. Environmental Alternatives: The
University is committed to environmental stewardship,
conserving natural resources and preserving the environment.
We encourage vendors to identify products, services,
or processes that promote environmental stewardship.
In addition to the requested bid, vendors are encouraged
to offer an additional bid for products, services, or
processes that are more environmentally friendly. Such
products or services should be bid as an alternate to
the requested bid. Any exceptions or deviations from
the original specifications must be clearly identified.
The environmental benefits must be clearly identified
with supporting data. Benefits may include: reduced
life cycle costs, reduced energy consumption, recycled
content, recyclability, extended product life, and decreased
maintenance. |
